What is DreamCareers You May Ask? We are a company that is trying to break the stigma that only men can participate and work in the tech industry. Located in Florida, USA, we created this company to create opportunities for women who want to work in the IT industry. By partnering with major corporations such as Code.org, NeoCity Academy, and Bridge, we provide opportunities that used to be hard for women to be a part of. Help us create a change in our society where women can create change and have an impact in the technological community.
Purpose & Mission
What is our Purpose?
As technology has improved and grown over time, there is an increasing demand for jobs dealing with cybersecurity. At this moment, one of the main issues within the technological field is the gender gap. The career field continues to be a male dominating work culture. Due to this matter, there has recently been an increasing number of women who attempt to pursue jobs within this field who become unmotivated because of the gender gap, leading them to move away from achieving the career they desire. As more jobs become necessary in the future, it would be helpful for this field to have a more gender-friendly environment, creating diversity in careers.
What is our Mission?
Our mission is to help women currently looking to pursue a career in the IT field, or more specifically, the cybersecurity field, find a few career options that would be the best fit for them. As well as creating interest and motivation for any others who are still in the search for what they would see themselves doing in the future. By doing so, we hope to lead or create a change in the ever-increasing gender gap within the field and expand the number of women in STEM.
