Job Description: Digital data forensic examiners, known as digital forensics analysts, collect, observe, and analyze data to discover and bring cybercrimes to trial. This career works closely with law enforcement to catch any types of cybercrimes. Although this career is similar to the job of an FBI agent or crime investigator, digital forensics analysts investigate on technological devices, instead of crime scenes.
Requirements: Experience in various systems, software, scripting languages, familiar with network components, as well as virtual and cloud environments. A college degree is optional, but some certifications are needed such as CCE, GCFE, etc.
The average salary for this career ranges between $75,120-$119,000 a year.
